Business Development and R & D
In 1991, Dr. Guenther Gorka founded DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH with Rolf Greiner and Dr. Manfred Probst, and since then has been managing partner.
Dr. Gorka studied chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and obtained his doctorate at the University of Hohenheim, Germany. After a short side step into food processing he moved into the diagnostic industry where he has been continuously operating in several positions since 1978. He already had an important share in the development of clinical diagnostic tests, last as Technical Director of Human Diagnostics in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Dr. Gorka managed DiaSys in co-operation with Dr. Probst from 1991 until the end of 2010; he was responsible for research, quality assurance and marketing. After the retirement of Dr. Probst at the end of 2010 an expanded management board in which Dr. Gorka is still a leading member, took over the duties of a company that has grown tremendously over two decades. This allows Dr. Gorka to focus more on the strategic development and the product portfolio.
Supply Chain Management, Production and Quality Management
Peter Zoeller joined DiaSys in June 1993. Since then he has been taking part in the development and the growth of the company with steadily expanded responsibilities.
Following his professional education with Hoechst AG in Frankfurt (job description: skilled chemical worker), Peter Zoeller started his academic studies of chemical engineering with the main focus on laboratory technology at Fresenius Institute in Wiesbaden which he completed 1991 as Certified Chemical Engineer. After several years of employment with Hoechst AG and the state Medizinal-, Lebensmittel- und Veterinäruntersuchungsamt Südhessen (literally translated as medicinal, food and veterinary investigation office, Southern Hesse) in Wiesbaden, he started his career with DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH as Chemical Engineer in the “biochemical production” division in June 1993.
Already 2 years later, he was appointed Production Manager and, after having successfully completed his additional apprenticeships as Industrial Bachelor as well as Quality Manager, he was assigned responsibility for the entire manufacturing process of DiaSys in the year 2000.
As General Manager, Peter Zoeller has been responsible as from January 2011 for the divisions Customs Logistics Centre, Facility Management, IT, Order Processing, Production, Purchasing as well as Quality Management and is taking care of various companies within DiaSys group.

Before joining DiaSys, Bertrand de Castelnau headed ABX and the Horiba Medical segment for 10 years.
