Management Board of DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH

Dr. Guenther Gorka

Reagent Development and Marketing

In 1991 Dr. Guenther Gorka founded the DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH together with Rolf Greiner and Dr. Manfred Probst and is since then managing partner.

Dr. Gorka studied chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Stuttgart, Germany and earned his doctorate at the University of Hohenheim, Germany. After a short side step into food processing he moved into the diagnostic industry where he is continuously working since 1978. He worked in several positions on the development of clinical diagnostic tests, latterly as Technical Director of Human Diagnostics in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Dr. Gorka managed DiaSys together with Dr. Probst from 1991 until the end of 2010 and was responsible for research, quality assurance and marketing. After the retirement of Dr. Probst at the end of 2010 an expanded management team took over the duties of a company that has grown tremendously over two decades. This change allows Dr. Gorka to focus now on reagent development and marketing.

Dr. Roland Schenk

Systems and After Sales Support

Dr. Roland Schenk studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart and finished his studies there with his thesis in 1985. Thereafter 13 years at Boehringer Mannheim/Roche followed, first in development and then in several product and project management functions in various diagnostic areas.

In 1998 he joined the SCIL group which was newly founded at the time by a family member of the owners of Boehringer Mannheim, Stefan Engelhorn. From 1999 on he was for a short period Managing Director of SCIL Diagnostics and later for various start-up companies. During this time an intensive cooperation developed with DiaSys in a project for a small automated analyzer which was afterwards sold to a big Japanese systems manufacturer.

The cooperation was deepened significantly in October 2005 as Dr. Schenk joined DiaSys as consultant for Diagnostic Systems and as shareholder as well as taking over the management of two daughter companies of DiaSys.
Since January 1, 2011 he is responsible for the systems including After Sales Support, Technical Support and Product-/Project Management Systems.
