TeleChemistry Oy in Turku, Finland and DiaSys act jointly when it comes to develop a highly integrated and compact point-of-care analyzer system. This maintenance-free fully automatic POC system will be able to perform more than 10.000 tests within 4 to 12 months without the need to replenish reagents.

Networking of the system with a central quality centre will guarantee full function control and quality assessment. In addition, a signal will be given by the analyzer to hint at the fact that reagents run short so that our field service can replace it by a system with new reagents.

Patients as well as doctors benefit from results in the same quality as measured with big state-of-the-art clinical chemistry analyzers – during patients’ visit. Furthermore, all parties involved benefit from a test parameter variety which at present is not offered by any other POC analyzer currently available.

We call our product an autonomic POCT server because users do not need to care about anything except sample measuring and evaluation of results.

Within this project, Telechemistry is the partner for developing hard and software whereas DiaSys works on a new generation of concentrated reagents.

The potential of this new concept for decentralized patient testing has been recognized by the European Union supporting the development with research grants for both partners within the EuroStars™ program.
