Bio-Gram and DiaSys win interim tender of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for supply of rapid antigen tests

Bio-Gram Diagnostics GmbH and DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH are honored to be the supplier of 4 million rapid antigen tests to the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Both medium-sized Rhineland-Palatinate companies have joined forces to form a bidding consortium to secure the import of rapid antigen tests from the People's Republic of China for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate at the best conditions and have won this tender.

In these times of corona management, rapid detection of COVID-19 disease has ongoing importance on both the private and the medical level. In order to ensure the work of ministries, schools and state-owned companies, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate called for a public tender concerning the supply of rapid antigen tests for its own use.

Gouangdong Wesail Biotech Co. Ltd., in close cooperation with Bio-Gram, has developed a COVID-19 antigen rapid test, which has been distributed in Germany and worldwide for more than one year and stands out for its excellent quality. This is substantiated by a study conducted by the Charité University Hospital in Berlin. Since spring 2021, a self-test for use in the anterior nasal region has been marketed. It is CE-certified by TÜV Süd; Bio-Gram has provided support and advice during the conception and approval process in Germany. In addition to its quality, the test is characterized above all by its ease of use. It is therefore now to be made available to all students and teachers in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Bio-Gram and DiaSys, as companies long active in this market, have now formed a partnership to develop a strategy in close cooperation with the Frankfurt-based freight forwarding company a. hartrodt to transport a total of 1120 m3 (approx. 28 truckloads) of freight to Germany on schedule, despite the known supply chain problems during the pandemic, particularly from China to Europe. On the afternoon of Friday, October 15, 2021, more than half of this cargo volume will be received at Frankfurt/Main Airport by the Managing Directors of both companies, Dr. Günther Gorka, DiaSys and Petrit Blakaj, Bio-Gram, as well as Frank Klepper, Sales Representative a. hartrodt and an employee of FRAPORT AG, using a "jumbo jet" (Boeing 747-SF200) chartered specifically for this purpose.

The bidding consortium considers itself fortunate to have been awarded this contract.
