Girls' Day 2022 at DiaSys

A day in the laboratory

After a two-year pandemic related break, a Girls' Day took place again at DiaSys in Holzheim on April 28. The day of action is intended to give girls an insight into a variety of occupational fields that they rarely consider for a career. Schoolgirls from the surrounding area were given an exclusive insight into our laboratories - and thus into the world of research.

Pipetting - how does it actually work?

After a tour and a brief introduction to how our reagents and analyzers work, the schoolgirls were given the chance to work in the lab themselves and start pipetting - not so easy - but after a bit of practice they got the hang of it. After that, some fun and exciting experiments awaited the girls. Together with our lab staff, they created the chemical traffic light, elephant toothpaste and liquid light.

We are happy that we could pass on our passion for research and give a little insight into the work of a laboratory.
