Workshop in Santa Cruz de la Sierra

Initiated and organized by our Bolivian distributor TERRATEC S.r.l., DiaSys conducted a training, including workshop and evening event, in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia end of March. The training was opened with an introduction of the DiaSys group by Roland Heyer, Area Business Director of the South American market. Eleven sales employees from TERRATEC attended the training.

Irene Delseith-Hermsdorf, Head of Global Marketing at DiaSys, presented the comprehensive DiaSys product portfolio. The event lasted 1 ½ days and focused on "Quality of DiaSys products“ and "Advantages DiaSys as a system provider“. The reagent related presentations focused on  diagnostic fields like diabetes, iron metabolism and atherosclerosis risk management.

In addition to the clinical chemistry and immunoturbidimetric reagents, the respons® family was introduced by Roland Heyer. Professor Enrique Abraham, representative of DiaSys in Cuba, complemented the program with a lecture about SensoStar, a POCT analyzer for measurement of glucose, lactate and hemoglobin. The main topic was the benefit of lactate determination in intensive care and emergency medicine. The training was supported by Kai-Uwe Berodt (Regional Manager Cochabamba and Clinical Laboratory Commercial Manager) who translated the English presentations into Spanish. Following the product training, TERRATEC S.r.l. organized an evening event (workshop) to which fifty end customers from La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz del la Sierra were invited. After the opening by Bernd Stahmer (CEO & President of Corimex/TERRATEC), TERRATEC and DiaSys were introduced by their representatives Kai-Uwe Berodt and Roland Heyer. This was followed by presentations about “Quality of DiaSys products” (Irene Delseith-Hermsdorf) and “Quality control” (Prof. Enrique Abraham). A particularly interesting contribution was provided by a guest speaker from a hospital in Tarija who shared his experiences with DiaSys’ respons®910. He confirmed from this long-term daily laboratory routine that respons®910 is easy to use, intelligible and delivers reliable results. Finally, Irene Delseith-Hermsdorf introduced new products in the DiaSys portfolio. The participants were very interested. There was a steady flow of know-how and stimulating discussions among the presenters and the audience. All in all, it has been a successful event!
