DiaSys present at Indian Congress

DiaSys, strongly supported by DiaSys India, participated as gold sponsor at the 15th Asia-Pacific Federation for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine Congress (APFCB) in India. This scientific meeting, held every three years in different parts of the Asia Pacific region, this year took place in Jaipur, Rajasthan from November 17 through 20. DiaSys exhibited at a 12 sqm booth presenting the innovative QDx Instalyte instrument, a truly modular electrolyte analyzer as well as respons®940, the new member of the system family of clinical chemistry analyzers with a throughput of min. 400 tests/h.

Professor Dr. Matthias Grimmler, Head of DiaSys’ R&D department was honored to chair the lunch symposium titled “A race against time: Is Procalcitonin (PCT) of help in early sepsis diagnosis?” organized by DiaSys. Two reputed speakers presented for DiaSys: Professor Dr. Barnali Das from Biochemistry & Immunology Division, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute in Mumbai put a special focus on India by presenting “An overview on sepsis”. Professor Dr. Jean-Paul Cristol, from CHRU (University hospital section of biology and pathology), Montpellier, France, held a speech on “New particle enhanced methods for measuring procalcitonin”. His professional background as former Head of Biochemistry Dept at Lapeyronie University Hospital (Montpellier medical school) and coordinator of the Dept. of Biochemistry and Hormonology makes him particularly suited to address this subject. Moreover, DiaSys had the opportunity to present a scientific poster on their new enzymatic method to determine total bile acids in serum on BioMajesty® JCA-BM6010/C clinical chemistry analyzer. The poster was presented by Ms. Angelique Masetto from R&D in Jaipur and has been uploaded onto the microsite: www.total-bile-acids.com
