Improved Real Time Stability of Lipase DC FS

We are pleased to announce that real time stability for DiaSys Lipase DC FS is now given for 18 months. The prolonged stability could be achieved due to an optimized production process. Lipase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides to produce mono- and diglyceride as well as long chain fatty acids. The enzyme and its cofactor colipase are produced in the pancreas and elevated lipase values can be observed in pancreatitis and other pancreatic disorders. Due to its long half-life, lipase values are elevated longer after a pancreatitis than those of α-amylase and pancreatic amylase. The DiaSys test Lipase DC FS is a state-of-the-art direct colorimetric assay. It uses a substrate in a microemulsion with colipase and bile acids, thus simulating physiological conditions and, therefore, avoiding non-specific enzyme reactions. In time for the Lipase DC FS launch with improved stability, a new 4 page flyer is now available in English, covering all relevant parameters for “Pancreatic Diagnostics”, i.e. DiaSys tests Lipase DC FS, α-Amylase CC FS and Pancreatic amylase CC FS.
