Dear customers, dear friends,

An extraordinarily challenging year for all of us is ending. We have all put great energy in meeting the challenges of 2020. The coronavirus pandemic has changed our lives and our daily routine to an extent that we could not imagine before. Despite all the efforts of the last months, no relaxation is in sight yet; we will have to live with the virus and the associated restrictions for another unpredictable time.

Like you, we have noticed a dramatic decline in routine testing since the outbreak of the pandemic. However, we see a significant increase in sales of DiaSys tests used to assess the severity of the disease, in particular, the particle enhanced immunoturbidimetric test to determine procalcitonin. Procalcitonin FS, introduced in February 2020, convinces by its outstanding performance and is suitable for all clinical chemical analyzers. DiaSys contributes significantly to combat the coronavirus by the introduction of rapid tests for antigen and antibody determination in COVID-19. The Influenza A&B rapid test, introduced as well, is a good adjunct as it enables the distinction of viral respiratory diseases. The new rapid tests, as well as the particle enhanced immunoturbidimetric test SARS-CoV-2 UTAB FS currently being developed, will help to monitor the epidemic even more.

We take this opportunity to warmly thank our long-standing Head of Sales Dr. Michael Sprinzl for his tireless energy and omnipresent helpful input on all sales topics as well as for his high-level commitment to DiaSys. Michael Sprinzl enjoys his well-deserved retirement since October 1, 2020. However, he will continue supporting us as a consultant and will retain responsibility for some countries. We welcome Christophe Bayet, who has been with DiaSys for more than 20 years and contributes a lot of experience as former Area Business Director, in his new position; he has taken over global responsibility for sales since October.

We thank you for your continued trust in our products and services, your loyalty, solidarity and the cooperative partnership in 2020. We will continue to do our best to serve you and all your customers with high-end quality. We hope that you and your families and companies will survive this stressful time in good health. We are sure: In the end, we will win against the virus!

We wish you, your loved ones and employees a peaceful end of the year holiday, Merry Christmas and a happy, successful and above all healthy 2021.

Sincerely yours,
Dr. Guenther Gorka
