Fresenius, born in 1818 in Frankfurt was an analytical chemist and a co-founder of analytical chemistry. Not only the Fresenius University in Idstein bears his name, also the SGS Institute Fresenius in Taunusstein and the Fresenius SE & CO. KgaA in Bad Homburg with more than 274.000 employees.

Fresenius focussed on the development of methodologies for the analysis of food but also on the analysis of blood. Besides original documents and instruments of Fresenius, also DiaSys´ InnovaStar® as a modern counterpart of blood glucose analysis is shown in the exhibition. This perfectly connects the beginning of blood analytics with modern analytics for diabetes management.

Thanks to the dedication of Prof. Dr. Leo Gros (University Fresenius) about 150 attendees joined the opening of the exhibition on 23rd of August 2018. It is owed to Prof. Gros, that the InnovaStar® and DiaSys were perceived with high interest. Prof. Dr. Grimmler (Head of R&D, DiaSys) emphasized the for many years ongoing successful collaboration between the University Fresenius and DiaSys.

We are proud and glad that our InnovaStar® became a part of such a prestigious exhibition!
