Reliable Urine Determination by Strip Analysis

The respons®UDS100 is a state-of-the-art analyzer designed for the automated reading, interpretation, and documentation of urine test strip results, ensuring precision and reliability in every measurement.

The respons®UDS100 is part of the DiaSys all-in-one urine test strip system to target the high demands that are placed on urine testing in terms of quality, reliability and costs. The analyzer eliminates subjective interpretation through its semi-automated application, significantly reducing error rates and delivering consistently high-quality results. With two dedicated operating modes, respons®UDS100 adapts to every workflow: in the standard mode the incubation time is automatically considered, while the fast mode enables high-throughput testing of up to 120 samples per hour—ideal for time-sensitive environments.

Urine testing

The respons®UDS100 offers automated strip recognition, and an autonomous measurement start including the incubation time of 60 seconds.

1) The test strip is dipped into the urine sample for approximately 2 seconds, ensuring all pads are wetted. It is then immediately removed from the urine.
2) The edge of the strip is dragged against the side of the sample container to remove excess urine.
3) In addition, excess urine is blotted by gently touching the edge of the test strip to a paper towel
4) The test strip is placed in the channel of the test strip tray with the test pads facing upward. The device automatically detects the applied strip and starts the measurement cycle. If Autostart is deactivated, the measurement is initiated using the Start button.
