UIBC FS

UIBC FS is a photometric test using ferene to determine the unsaturated iron binding capacity (UIBC) in serum or heparin plasma. Measurement of UIBC combined with serum iron provides diagnostic information in assessing various iron metabolism disorders. Increased UIBC values indicate iron deficiency; decreased values indicate chronic inflammatory disorders.
