  1. Myocardial infarction/injury
  2. Progressive muscular dystrophy
  3. Dermatomyositis
  4. Rhabdomyolysis due to drug ingestion, hyperosmolality, autoimmune disease etc.
  5. Delirium tremens
  6. Convulsions (status epilepticus)
  7. Crush syndrome
  8. Hypothyroidism
  9. Surgery, severe exercise, intra-muscular injection

Decreased in

  1. Physical inactivity
  2. Decreased muscle mass
