2021-08-31: Invitation to a DiaSys presentation at the SEPTIMET Stakeholder Event

This year's Stakeholder Event of the EU-funded (EMPIR) project SEPTIMET will take place on September 14, 2021 as a virtual event with various expert presentations related to the topic of sepsis.

DiaSys warmly invites you to attend the presentation of our immunoassay developer Thomas Masetto on "Challenges in the development of IVD kits for the measurement of sepsis markers: an IVD manufacturer point of view". This will take place on September 14 at 10:15 am (BST).

Using the Procalcitonin FS assay as an example, this presentation will provide a brief overview of the challenges IVD manufacturers faces during the development process. Among others, the advantages and disadvantages of CLIA and PETIA technology, the influence of antibodies on the performance of the different PCT assays and the standardization of calibrators will be presented.

The SEPTIMET project is dedicated to improve the speed, accuracy and reproducibility of diagnostic tests for the detection and treatment of sepsis. This clinically oriented project will develop and characterize reference systems to support the reliable use of existing tests and investigate the metrological support required for new, innovative approaches. In addition, the results of this project are expected to support IVD manufacturers in meeting developments in EU diagnostic regulations.
