NEFA FS is an enzyme-based test to determine non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA) in serum and plasma. Increased NEFA concentrations occur for example in people suffering from diabetes type 2, obesity and metabolic syndrome. NEFA is determined to indicate the development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
